The Manchester and District Medico-Legal Society (MDMLS) may hold information about previous and existing members of the Society. The information that we will hold will be name, profession, email address, postal address, and the account number into which your subscription is paid. We will retain this data for three years after you cease to become a member or until you request us to do otherwise.

We use this information to keep you informed of events, developments, and governance of MDMLS. The legal basis for using your information for these purposes is that it is necessary for the pursuit of the legitimate interests of MDMLS and there is no overriding prejudice to your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms. You have the right to: ask us for access to, or rectification or erasure of your data; restrict processing (pending correction or deletion); object to communications or direct marketing; ask for the transfer of your data electronically to a third party (data portability). We will not aggregate the information into other “big data” resources. The data will be maintained in a secure, password-protected electronic database which will be backed up securely in the Cloud.
